Charlie’s Gourmet Pastries | An Orlando Bakery.
It has been a little while since I went to a food truck bazaar. Sometimes one must give a good thing a rest and then be in awe all over again.
One of the newer addition to the food truck scene, at least for me, is Charlie’s Gourmet Pastries or as is advertised on the truck Charlie’s Bakery. Their website claims a great grandfather‘s recipe from the old days of Wolfie’s On the Beach in Miami. Apparently, there is an actual Bakery on Curry Ford Rd. These days a lot of establishments are using the food truck to supplement and market their business. One day I’ll have to make a trip to the shop. The food truck is bright and colorful with huge baked goods on the side. A huge baker painting easily distinguishes what this truck is all about.
Key Lime Pie – Oops, gluttoness got the better of me or I am out of practice at these food truck bazaars. I started to fill my face instantly. The crust was nicely packed, pie was fluffy and aerated, delicate hints of key lime. Great little cup to polish off at a food truck bazaar with all the other foodiness going on.
