Hillstone Hosts Sunset “Paint-In” on Lake Killarney

26 Artists will capture a beautiful Florida sunset on April 25

Winter Park, Fla. – (April 2, 2012) – A picture is worth a thousand words, but how much is a painting of the Florida sunset worth? Plenty, if it is created on the shore of Lake Killarney in Winter Park.

Hillstone (formerly Houston’s) is hosting the Sunset “Paint-In” on Lake Killarney. On Wednesday, April 25 at 6:00 p.m. the public is invited to watch as 26 artists gather on the lake shore to capture on canvas the beauty of a sunset. The evening is part of the annual “Winter Park Paint Out,” which is a weeklong event put on by the Albin Polasek Museum.

“Lake Killarney could not be more perfect for this event,” said Todd Martin, Executive General Manager at Hillstone Winter Park. “We enjoy hosting this event every year, and our guests love getting to witness each artist’s interpretation of the sun going down.”

Hillstone has received rave reviews for its picturesque waterfront setting. This is the fourth year the “Paint-In” has been held on the property.

26 professional artists will paint outdoors, depicting street scenes and idyllic views throughout the city beginning on Sunday, April 22. The artists have six days to publicly create their works, which are then offered for sale as a fundraiser for the museum.

Reservations are encouraged, but not required. To reserve a table call 407-740-4005.

Hillstone is located at 215 South Orlando Ave. in Winter Park. For more information, please visit http://www.polasek.org.
