Pizza is one of these comfort foods that carry a specific following. There is the constant battle of New York vs Chicago, old style vs new style toppings and everything in between. Have you noticed that there are a lot of “Anthony’s Pizza“? What’s in a name, who is original, or who cares?
I have since learnt to look pass a name and focus on the pie. This Anthony’s Pizza occupies a storefront in the Publix Plaza on Kirkman Rd and Conroy Rd intersection up the road from Universal Studios Orlando. There are simple leather booths, rustic tables in a nice neighborly setting. The menu has a host of Italian specialties. My focus is the pizza.
Meat Lovers – The pie is authentic New York Style thin crust. Slight charred in the crust gives that distinct oven freshness. The meats are all well seasoned and salted enough. Cheese on this pizza is not too oily.
This pizza joint is a nice little place for a sit down or take out.
