Quantum Leap Winery Hosts Public Reception to Welcome Italian Wine Partner Roberta Bricola of Gorgo Winery

Orlando, Fla. — Thursday, January 16, 2014 — Quantum Leap Winery, Orlando’s first and only winery, is hosting a reception that is open to the public for Roberta Bricola, owner of Gorgo Winery in Italy. The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, January 24.

 “We are so excited to offer this special event for our fantastic Italian wine partner and winery customers,” said Jill Ramsier, co-owner of Quantum Leap Winery. “My business partner David Forrester and I found Gorgo after spending four days of wine tasting and conversations with hundreds of winery owners at VinItaly in Verona.”

 Gorgo is a small, family-owned winery located just outside of Verona in the Veneto region of Italy.

 “They are a perfect partner for Quantum Leap because they have been making wine for more than 45 years and use sustainable practices in their vineyards,” said Forrester.

 Roberta will share her own winery’s story and be available to talk to guests and winery customers who have already become fans of Gorgo’s Pinot Grigio or Custoza, or Quantum Leap’s white blend, Garda, whose juices also come from Gorgo’s vineyards. Light Italian appetizers will also be available and guests will have the first opportunity, pre-release, to taste the 2012 vintage of Gorgo’s Pinot Grigio and Custoza.

 An exclusive dinner only for Quantum Leap Wine Club Members will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. after the public reception. The five-course Italian dinner will be prepared by John Michael Catering and guests will taste through the wines that Quantum Leap sources from Gorgo. It will be finished off with a new addition to Quantum Leap’s Reserve wines, a rich Taurasi from the Naples area. Limited seating is available and tickets are $75 per person.  Roberta will also take part in an event from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 23 at the East End Market with Local Roots and La Femme Du Fromage. The event is also open to the public and will include specials on Quantum Leap’s Garda white blend and cheese plates.
