ORLANDO (Jan. 22, 2014) – There’s no reason to have the same-old Valentine’s Day celebration this year. Jack’s Place – featuring a serious menu served with a side of fun – will offer a spectacular three-course Valentine’s Day Prix Fixe Menu on Friday, February 14, 2014. The first course begins with a shrimp and avocado stack with fresh mango-pineapple dressed arugula. The main course features guests’ choice of either Gulf Coast red fish with buttered parsnip puree and kumquat gastrique or grilled filet of bison paired with duck chicharron sweet-potato hash. Both entrees are accompanied locally farmed fresh vegetables. As a sweet finish, guests will enjoy the famous Jack’s chocolate bread pudding with warm raspberry white-chocolate sauce.

Created by Jack Rosen (father of Orlando hotelier Harris Rosen), the hundreds of caricatures that adorn the restaurant’s walls were hand-drawn throughout his 30 years working at New York City’s famed Waldorf Astoria Hotel from the 1930s through the 1960s. Jack met and caricatured many of the most famous celebrities of the time period, including Albert Einstein, Alfred Hitchcock, Babe Ruth, Bob Hope, Ernest Hemingway, Charlie Chaplin and many others.

While dining at Jack’s Place, lucky guests can even have their own caricature created by an artist as they dine. This complimentary experience is based on artist availability, and is offered most Friday and Saturday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Dinner entree purchase is required.
